END OF SEASON DANCE

NORTH END GOLF CLUB. The North End Golf Club brought its season to a successful conclusion at an enjoyable dance in the Bay tea rooms last night when the trophies won during the vear were presented. The presentations were made by the president (Mr H. J. Washer), who extended a welcome to the many visitors from Timaru, Glen-iti, Temuka and Hagley Park Clubs, and expressed gratification at the success of the season. Competition had been keen and the club matches had provided some good golf. Credit was due to the caretaker (Mr C. Frampton) for the splendid order in which the links had been maintained and also to the club captains. Mrs A. M. Robertson and Mi L. Edyvean. who had discharged their onerous duties admirably. Ladies’ doubles knock-out (Mr I. J. Bradley’s trophy) —Mrs J. Stevens and Mrs R. E. Ayres. Unearneds’ knock-out (Mrs A. M. Robertson's trophy) —Mrs A. C. Rippen.
