THE WEATHER. Exceptionally hot days were experienced last week. the average daily temperature being 65 degrees. A cool change took place on Saturday evening. Steady rain fell during the night and 54 points was registered on Sunday morning. Conditions throughout Sunday were bitterly cold, snow lying right down to the base of the foothills. A frost of four degrees was registered yesterday morning. PERSONAL. Mrs S. C. Chisnall, treasurer of the Federation of New- Zealand Women's Institutes is at present in Wellington.
