SUNDAY CINEMAS.

OPPOSED IN THREE THOUSAND SERMONS. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received April 12, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 11. The Lord’s Day Observance Society has announced 3000 sermons are being preached throughout England in furtherance of the fight for Sunday campaign, as the result of the Government's Sunday Entertainment Bill. Theatrical managers, on the other hand, state that it is grossly unfair that the theatres should be omitted from the Bill. The Sunday Entertainments Bill permits Councils to license Sunday cinemas, debates, musical performances, exhibitions of animals or inanimate objects, but does not mention stage plays.
