THE CHURCHES.
At the Salvation Army to-morrow there will be a day of memorial. 7 a.m. Prayer for relatives; morning, preparation of heart; afternoon, Testimonies, and Dedication Services; night, Memorial service of Bro. W. Williams. Services will be conducted by Rev. A. Begg to-morrow at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Highfield, and at Rosewill. The morning subject will be “God with Him.” At Rosewill there will be a haivest thanksgiving service. At the evening service “The Crucifixion” by Stainer will be rendered by the choir and friends, the solos being taken by Mrs A. C. Mclnness and Mr R. S. Nicol. and Mr A. C. Mclnnes presiding at the organ. The Rev. Harold T. Peat will conduct both services in Bank Street Methodist Church to-morrow. The morning and evening themes being “The Soul’s Quest,” and “The Soul’s Supreme Necessity.” The choir will render an anthem. The services in Woodlands Street Church will be conducted by B. C. Members and the Rev. P. I. Cooke. Visitors cordialy linvited to all services. The services at Trinity Presbyterian Church to-morrow will be conducted by Rev. A. J. H. Dow. In the morning the choir will sing “O for a Closer Walk with God,” and in the evening "The Lord is My Shepherd.” Holy Communion will be celebrated to-morrow at St. Ma,ry’s and St. John’s at 8 a.m., at St. Michael’s and St. Peter’s at 9.30, and at St. Mary’s at noon. Family services will be held at St. Mary’s and St. John’s at 11 a.m., and an address to young people will be given at St. Michael’s at 9.30. The clergy will continue their series of Lenten addresses at the evening services at St. Mary's, All Saint's and St. Peter’s.
In view of the approach of Easter, special sermons on the Cross will be delivered both morning and night at the Baptist Church, Wilson Street, tomorrow. The Rev. C. W. Duncumb will be the speaker. Communion will be held at the cjpse, of the morning service. p The morning service in Chalmers Church will be conducted by the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes. The subject of the address will be “Of Him in Whom all things Consist.” The evening service will be conducted by Mr A. Miller, whose subject will be “Fellow Workers with God.” The evening anthem will be “Holy Father, we Adore Thee.”
Services in the Congregational Church to-morrow, will be conducted by Rev. F. J. Shaw. The morning subject will be “The Church’s Zero Hour,” and the evening subject, “Forgotten Sins, No. 1. Antipathy.” Tne anthem, will be “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes.” Communion will be observed after evening service.
