MAN OF THE FUTURE.
PROFESSOR LOW’S FORECAST. (United Praia Association—By EJeotrte Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, Februajy 26. Professor A. M. Low, lectuong at the Institute of Patentees, expressed the opinion that man in futurw would not eat regular meals. He wo%ld take tabloids and undergo ray treatment during sleep. Children w<gild be brought up from birth to fit them for careers. They would be subjected to various rays, injected serum and fed on tablets in accordance with thap profession or trade for which they were intended. Crime would be regarded as a disease, curable by surgical operations. While accustomed to tfcoff at th© ancients who sought the philosopher’s stone, and the elixir of life, modern scientists had realised both. The transmutation of • metals and the prolongation of life were within the bounds of possibility.
