BRITAIN’S IDLE MULTITUDES.

Dramatic Scenes In Parliament. VOICE FROM PUBLIC GALLERY. (United Praia Association —By Eleetrte Telearaoh—Coorrlght.) LONDON, February 27. In the course of a speech by Sir Newton Moore (Conservative) on unemployment, during consideration of the Ministry of Labour’s estimates, there came a dramatic interruption. A man rose in the public gallery and shouted: “Capitalism! Capitalism!” Three attendants rushed up and tried to persuade the man to withdraw, but he refused. A plain clothes constable went to assist the attendants. The interrupter was a powerfully built member of the unemployed, who had tramped Jxmdon with the hunger marchers. He. resisted strenuously and clutched at the seat and railings. Eventually the interrupter, who shouted: “I thought you didn’t use force 1” was half carried out and half dragged from the gallery and detained in the polio* room till the House rose. *

HUNGER MARCH OF MINERS. DEMONSTRATIONS IN LONDON. (United P raai Association—By ZlHlrlk Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received March 1, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 28. Twenty of the unemployed wh* partook in the march to London, headed by a well-known Comumnist, called at Downing Street, in an attempt to see Mr Baldwin. On being repulsed the men went to Parliament, and spent an hour or two in the Central Hall, and sent in cards to various Labour Members, who came out and chatted with them in groups. Before leaving, the unemployed deputation suddenly conoertedly began singing “The Red Flag,” rendering themselves liable to ejection for creating a disturbance. The police were not altogether surprised, and approached the disturbers in force, and unceremoniously led the men who offered no serious resistance to the door, ffhere was no force or arrests in consequence of the incident, and following the scene, to-night, stricter rules will be enforced. Visitors will be forced to send in cards from the main entrance, and will not be permitted the usual privilege of going straight to the Central Hall. In the House of Commons to-night, during a speech by Captain Fairfax, a voice from the Strangers’ Gallery suddenly rang out: “What about this Canadian immigration swindle. I’ve been returned to this country destitute. It is injustice.” The attendant immediately led out the interrupter, who did not resist.
