The Shatv Savill and Albion Company has written to Sir James Cook (High Commissioner for Australia), denying that the captain or agents for the Otira gave either a- written or verbal promise to provide Australian firemen with return passages or employment, and repudiates any further responsibility. Sir Joseph Cook may seek Commonwealth authority to repatriate the men.
