The attack on Coldstream Guardsmen was undoubtedly a consequence of the reoent ivemalist policy yf disparaging the British. The British wife of a British ex-Major, leaving home, recently, was arrested by police and accused of prostitution. The police tried to take her to the Police Station for medical examination. The lady clung to a tree. The police struck her to loosen her hold. Luckily, her husband arrived and secured her release with great difficulty. The police abuse all British whom they/ declare they intend to expel from Constantinople. Kemalists ordered the proprietors of music halls not to reserve boxes for .British. No (satisfaction has yet been obtained for the murder of a British soldier at Kassim Pasha a 'month ago. On the contrary, the Turks, refuse to give up two British aviators unless they pay a fine of £IO,OOO for killing a Turkish gendarme during a recent incident on Gallipoli.—A. and N.Z. Cable.

A GUARDSMAN DIES.
