AMUSEMENTS.

FULLERS' PICTURES. "Why Go Home?" is the name of the comedy on the current programme at Fullers', and the answer, as seen ou the screen, with Smith Pollard in tho principal role, is too funny for words. The comedy almost rent the audience into hysterics. A bright Topical Budget is included in the hill, and a most interesting picture entitled •'lce righting in the Baltic." The big picture, ''Man and Beast/"' is full ot interest right through. ' The principals in this' are Eileen Sedgwick, L. M. "Wells _ Harry Clifton, and Parks Jones. They play their respective parts we'.l, and the piece ig well put on, the scenery in the wilds of Africa being particularly striking. A clever elephant plays an important part, and a (|iiaint orangoutang and a lion are also skilfully made, to servo tho producer's purpose. THE GRAND. "Good news travels fast" and this, no doubt accounted for tho large attendance at the Grand last night when the current programme was screened for the second time. "Tho Broken Melody," featuring the talented Eugene O'Brien, was the attraction, and all who witnessed it. were evidently impressed and appreciative. Tho story presents a very tine sentiment which, is greatly emphasised by tho acting of the principles. There is ample variety of scene and incident, and life in the merry Greenwich village is as faithfully portrayed as are the stones of glittering Broadway and seductive Paris. Love and ambition arc the dominant characteristics treated, and the story throughout is very skilfully constructed. The music of Miss Capstick's orchestra, is specially adapted to the picture, and is a treat to listen to.

"The Co-operative "Weekly"' i s a varied collection of events of note, while "Their First, Love" is a most successful mirth provoker. "On the Wanganui River" is a beautifully got tip scenic, niicl adds appreciably to the excellence of the programme.
