TEMUKA BRANCH. A meeting of tlie Temuka branch of the lt.cj.A. was held on Monday evenin o) Dr Hastings presiding over u iair aiLonuauco. A letter was read from the Cemetery Trustees asking if it was still necessary to retain tlie laud set asmo for tno soldiers' graves.—lt was decided that, land should still be kept for that purpose. It was agreed to accede to the request of the Domain Fete Committee to organise and run a Cinderella dance on tiie evening of the feto. The secretary reported that the billiard table had been completely renovated, and it was decided to Hold a tournament, entry fee Is, and three prizes to bo given. Two South African Veterans, Messrs J. Leckie and Chas. Holland} had their active members' badges presented to them by the President, who welcomed them as members of the Association, both making suitable replies. The following members were admitted:—Active: Messrs J. M. Ouinn and F. E. Beale; honorary: Messrs H. Lee, J. South, It. Edgar and J. Levens. Messrs W. G. Aspinall, G. Ccllins, and N. Grant were accorded votes of thanks for donations of periodicals, etc. It was decided to hold a Cinderella dance on the 9th September.
