Sir James Allen, in an interview in .Junedm referred to the new Board established to deal with special financial assistance to soldiers, and said: "A word may be added about the extra financial assistance to soldiers. Forms .. to be filled up in making applications for this assistance have been in prin* for some time, and many have been Mled in and sent either to the Military Service Boards or the Defence Depart- , mont. I wish it 'clearly understood j 'hat any man called in the ballot who 1 appeals may, at the time of the hearing, 1 of his appeal, represent to "the Milii tiry Service Board his financial difficulties with, regard to rent,, insurance, etc. Thf> Board may adjourn his appeal i end'ng a decision as to how much will 1 '>e granted to assist to meet , d ff'c;!
