An. inqusst was held to-day concerning the death of Henry Boyd who died on Monday night shortly after beiag thrown from a bicycle through a collision with another cyclist. The evidence showed that the deceased attempted to pass the other man. on the -wrong side. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
OAMARL T , February 21. The two fishermen named Graves and McCallion, who were blown away off Zvloeraki to sea on Monday night, and given up for lost, got ashore at Pukeuri at 10 o'clock yesterday morning thoroughly knocked out. They had to abandon their boat, and swim ashore. One of them was nearly drowned, and was so exhausted that he only got over the five miles tq Oaruaru by this morning. While Mr J. A. Macpherson. M.H.R.. was testing a new tlneshing mjll engine to-day one of the s:eam cocks was turned on while his face was close to it. The steam blew into Mr Macpherson's face and eyes. Medical assistance was summoned, and it is not thought there will b-r any permanent injury to the sight, although Mr Macpherson is suffering" considerable pain.
