SUPREME COURT.
Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, November 29. At the Supreme Court R- J. Scott, a wrestler, was charged with wife desertion. Accused was arrested /in Australia. He was found guilty and released on probation for twelve months. The _ civil case C. v. Henderson, claim £6OO, damages for alleged slander contained in a letter to the Press, was settled by the defendant Admitting that he was not justified in reflecting on phuntifFs character, expressing regret and making a donation of £5 5s to the hospital.
