THE FIRST CASE. Per Press Association. PALMERSTOX NORTH, Nov. 29. Mr F. Pirani has notified the editor of the "Manawatu Daily Times" that he intends to proceed against him under section 150 of the Electoral Act. 1905, for publishing in his correspondence columns a letter which he alleges is untrue in statement, defamatory to him as a candidate, and likely to influence the voting. This will be the first case under this Statute.
