"PELORUS JACN."
.... i WRONGLY CLASSIFIED. Per Press Association. CHRIBTCHURCH, September 15. Captain; Huttpn has recently made a discovery regarding the famous Pelorus Jack, the white fish so long known in the French Pass,' finding that Pelorus Jack has been wrongly classified as a " white whale." He has transferred the creature to the genus " Ziphius cavirostris," believing him to be a goosebeak whale. He founds his opinior largely on a letter from a gentleman who has seen Pelorus Jack eight times, and states that he has a dorsal fin. This fin excludes him.- from the family of white whales.
