THE CHAMPION MEETING.

The champion cycling meeting was held ' at the Caledonian ground to-day, and was well attended. On the whole the weather was tine but cold. Sport was somewhat slow time being lost with the motor events and otherwise. Something went wrong with Martin's motor and Clark and Porter gave an exhibition instead of Martin. In the five mile championship Holland and Huston bumped twice when they finished, but made a wonderful recovery. But for this they might have given Martin more trouble.
