, COMMITTEE OF ADVICE. Per Press Association. .WELLINGTON, Feb. 24. In accordance with an arrangement with the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association the Defence. Department has decided to establish a special committee to deal witli cases ot anomaly and hardship regarding tho payment of war gratuities. The committee will consist of Colonel J. J. Essen, C.M.G., assistant- i secretary and accountant to the Treas- j ury, Col. J. Hutchen, officer in charge ; of war expenses, and a representative i to he appointed by the R.S.A. All j claims for consideration and decision will bo submitted to the committee through the R.S.A., which will decide whether the-eases merit presentation.
