PROSPECTS OF REFLOATING. • The attempt to refloat the Arapawa afe tho entrance to the Waitara River yesterday afternoon was not successful and it appears probable that she will not get off until the spring tides at the end of the week make the conditions more favourable. Captain Hammond, assistant-manager of the Northern Shipping Company, arrived at New Plymouth by the Rarawa this morning with wire ropes and other equipment and proceeded to Waitara to superintend the work.
