AA'ORK OF CONVALESCENT MEN. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., June 17. The seventeenth annual winter show at Palmerston North opened, to-day in hue weather. The entries were larger than last year, but the backward Reason was responsible for the falling off in farm exhibits and field roots. The needlework display of soldiers’ work is a feature of tue show. At the National Dairy Association meeting to-day it was announced that Messrs. Allen (Cambridge) and Forsyth (Eltham) had been rc-elecled directors, and that Mr. Mass (Wellington district) had also been elected.' The exhibit of work by convalescent soldiers was particularly interesting. In the needlework competition against wo. men, Private Anstis (Rotorua) won two firsts.
