REQUEST FOR .SHIPPING SPACE. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Jan. 25. A deputation of fruit-growers waited on the Prime Minister to-day with reference to obtaining facilities for the export of apples. The deputation stated that the crop- was looking particularly well, better than for the past throe years, and it was expected that there would be a surplus for export if shipping space was provided. Mr. Massey said he would communicate with the Imperial authorities and ascertain if there was a possibility of. making arrangements for the surplus to be forwarded to tho English market or any other available.
