Bates’ forecast for the twenty-four hours from 9 a.m. to-day is as follows: — ' The indications .are for freshening strong winds to gale; there is every prospect of bad weather; expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts; rain probable; barometer falling; seas and tides moderate.
