LEICESTER BY-ELECTION. SPLIT IN LABOUR PARTY. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, Juno 26. There is great interest in the Leicester polling on Friday. The Labour Party lias resolved that the Leicester branches shall give their encouragement to / the'candidature of Mr. Hartley, who is a Socialist, a, grave violation of National Party discipline which will inevitably lead to a considerable disruption of forces and compel Mr. Ramsay MacDonald to sever his connecetion with the Leicester constituency. The Trades Council at Leicester is supporting Mr. Hartley.
