Four hundred men are out at Cockatoo Island, and the whole work of construction on the Australian warships is suspended. Negotiations for a settlement of the dispute are proceeding. The Southern coal mine owners have officially notified that they are agreeable to the resumption of work, and havo ordered preparations to bo made for a start of the mines on Monday.
