A YACHT WRECKED.

NO LIVES LOST. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 10. Advice, was received by the Collector of Customs to-day that a portion of i yacht or fishing boat, comprising thf transom bearing the name “Edna Auckland,” had been washed ashore a( Tryphena, on the Great Barrier. Th< wreckage, in all' probability, is from the fishing smack Edna, which haa been engaged in the fishing trade for some months. She,. is owned by Mr. J. Gallagher, of Parnell, who left early on Monday morning for thf. Great Barrier to follow his. usual occupation, and has not been heard of since. The weather in the , gulf has been boisterous lately, and possibly the little craft was blown ashore and went to pieces. AUCKLAND, April 11. The fishing yadht Edna was wrecked at Pigeons. She was a total loss, being drivon ashore by the heavy sea. The owner, Gallagher, the only man aboard, was rescued by a scow.
