METHODIST CHURCH.

The circuit quarterly meeting was held on Wednesday night, and there was a fair attendance of officials, presided over by' the Rev, J. W. Burton. Sister Florence, and testimony wai given to the value of her efforts in connection with the Sunday School and among the poorer people of the town. Mr. W. A. Collis was appointed an additional society steward for the AVhitelev Church. Messrs. W. A. Collis and K. Maunder were appointed delegates to the local Bible Society Council. . Tho-basis of union with the Pnreitimo Methodist Church was unanimously approved, and tho meeting endorsed the action of the conference in thr" matter. Tho resolutions of tho quarterly meetings throughout New Zealand make possible the final arrangements for complete union of the two churches.
