RESULT OF MEDICAL INSPECTION By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received July 15, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, July 14. Mr. Runoiman, Secretary for Education, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, said that the medical inspection of two million school children showed the fallowing percentages: Ten per cent, had'defective sight,-; 20 to ,40 per cent, were in urgent need of a dentist; 3 to 5 per cent, had defective hearing; 8 per cent, had enlarged tonsils; 1 to 4 per cent, had tuberculosis; and 1 per cent, had heart disease.
