The Otago Golf Cluh’s tournament concluded on January 3 iu fine weather. In the tiiird round lor tin? championship B. B. Wood (Christchurch) beat U. C. Rutherford (Christchurch) 2 up and I to play, and B. J. Smith (Otago) heat A. H. Fisher (Otago) 2 up and 1 to play. In the final both men played a splendid game. Both drove well and played magnificent golf. Smith led in the early part of the game, but Wood afterwards stood up. Smith rallied, however, and was one up with three to play. Wood won tho next hole, hut lost the next two, and Smith thus won by -
