The Opunake .Seaside Improvement Society have been very energetic in their maiden efforts, the now seats on the elilf being a great improvement on the mother earth as of former times. January 11, the society will hold a grand opening fete in connection with the Opunake Alounted Rilles funder Captain Ilenty). ami a military sports programme has been arranged. Afternoon ten is also included, am! it. is expected that the beach will hardly hold the crowd, given a line day. The society are to be congratulated on their energy and the systematic manner in which they have carried their efforts out to make Opunake a pleasure resort mid bat fling easy. The mounted Rifles still hold their parades on Tuesday evenings in the Drill Hall, instead of the usual monthly rn i>i nt ed p a redes, which are d i sco 11 - tinned during November.
