CHRISTCHDRCH, Oct. 28. Fat Lambs — There were 360 fat lambs penned, which included some of superior quality. The demand was not so keen, and prices showed a slight decline, values ranging from 12s to 18s 6d. Fat Sheep—The entry of fat sheep was below that of Wednesday last, but included an increased number of shorn sheep. Prime wethers 19s to 23s sd, extra to 255, lighter 15s lOd to 18s 6d, mer.ino wethers 14s 3d, prime ewes 17s Gd to 21s, extra 24s 3d, medium 15s to 17s,.others 14s to 17s, shorn wethers 17s, shorn ewes 12s 6d to 14s 6d, hoggets 12s lOd to 16s 6d. Fat Cattle—The yarding of fat cattle comprised 335 head, all of good quality. The prices obtained indicated that the market had eased slightly when compared with previous rates. Beef showed a decline of 6d per 1001 b. Steors £6 10s to £11 10s, heifers £5 5s to £9 os, dry cows £4 12s 6d to £9. Best steer beef realised 24s 6d to 28s 6d, medium 22s to 245, and cow beef 18s 6d to 21s 6d per 1001 b. Pigs—There was a good entry of pigs, ■which met with a ready sale, although in fats the market was not so keen as at the previous sale. Choppers realised up to £5 10s, heavy baconers 70s to 80s, and lighter oos to 65s (equal to 6d per lb), largo porkers 45s to 525, and lighter 40s to 44s (equal to 6d to 6£d per lb), small stores to 435, weaners 18s to 255.
