A meeting of delegates of the men employed by the Furness, Withy Company, West Hartlepool, approved Sir Christopher Furness' co-partnership proposals, and urged the local branches of the various unions concerned to adopt them experimentally for a year. If they accepted the latter offer, they were to undertake not to go on strike.] \
