SHIPBUILDING COMBINE.
AN IMPORTANT ENGLISH SCHEME. By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. LONDON, Oct. 24. The Liverpool Journal of Commerce states that a working arrangement has heen made by all the shipbuilding engineering firms of the north-east coast of England. The firms' profits are to be pooled and distributed on a proportionate basis ; the management of the firms is to be concentrated; the employees are to be classified and a standard'of work is to be set for each class. The aggregate capital of the firms concerned amounts to £5,000,000.
