A FOREIGNER'S APPEAL.

WELLINGTON, July 22.

In the case Rex V. Nordb^rg, respondent, who was convicted of an indecent assault, applied to the Appeal Court for a new trial on the ground that the verdict was against the weight of evidence. He also asked leave to appeal in forma paupens, being a foreigner and having no means. The Court granted the leave, and at his own request the prisoner was assigned Mr Wilford as counsel.
