OBITUARY.
A DUNEDIN SINGER.
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, July 22.
Mr. H. B. Smith, of the firm of Smith & Smith, a well-known baritone singer, is dead. The senior member of 'the firm, another brother, died at London after an operation two weeks ago.
The Patea Press records the death of two of the pioneer settlers of the Whenuakura district. Mr P. A. Bourke died on Wednesday last at the age of 82 years, and Mr "William Gower died the same day at the age of 59 years. Both of them were among the original settlers of the district.
