SACRED CONCERT.
A sacred concert given in St. Joseph's Church on Sunday evening- on behalf of the choir funds was largely attended, and proved a great musical success. Mr P. Cornwall was conductor of the orchestra, which was com- [ posed of the following :— Messrs ft. Cottier, Tutschka, A. L. Cooke (first violinists), Goldwator, Jones, and Blanchard (second),; Donovan (cornet), jlvirkwood (flute), Sturmey <bass). S. Cottiei- (clarionet), and '11. J. Cornwall (organist). vEach item, of the excellent programme was admirably rendered, meeting with the keen approbation of the Jarg-e audience present. The programme was as follows >— "Avo soloists, Miss Badfoivl and Mr F. Cornwall; song, '0 Divmn jftcdecmer/' Mrs Connop; song, "Heavenly Song," Mr Shea: song, "'La Prierc." Mr Kirkwood; ''.Heavens are Telling-," orchestra; "0, Salutaris," soloist, Miss o'Donnell; song, "lA Bannor ot Love," Miss Brown; song, Mi«s Badford; song, "Beyond," Mr F. Cornwall; song, '"Aye Maria," Mrs Connop: "Tantum Ergo," soloist^ Miss Brown; '"March," orchestra. Mr Cornwall must be complimented on tho excellent work lie has put in since assume ing the duties of choir-onaster.
