BUSHFELLING FATALITY. Wellington, May, 28. Charles Brown, aged 21, was killed while bush foiling in the Rangitikei district. INQUEST ON "SOMEBODY'S '. DARLING." At the inquest on " somebody's darling," a verdict was returned that there waß not sufficient evidence to show tho cause of death. The efforts of the police to find the mether of the child were unsuccessful. Medical evidence was to the effect that death was due to inflammation , of the lung 3. THE BARQUE COROMANDEL. At the inquiry into the capsizing of the Coromandel, evidence was chiefly directed to ascertain who was responsible for the vessel. Captain Williams, the master, said he resigned the position at .Westport, and had nothing to do with the accident in the Harbour here. Captain Bendall contended that Williams was responsible, as he merely acted for, him, it being understood that he should; float her off and bring her to Welling-; ton ; he also deposed that, from a mercantile point of view, the barque was unseaworthy. The inquiry was adjourned to Monday for the Collector at Westport to state why he gave a clearance.
