Three hundred rebels attacked a party of fifty at Hope mountain, and after two hours' fighting were repulsed. The wires are cut between Buluwayo and Gwelo. Capetown, May 27.— Colonel Plummer has dispersed 1000 Matabeles after two attacks, killing many.
