SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE COMPANY.
ANNUAL MEETING. [per press association ] Auckland, October 11. — At the annual meeting of the South British Insurance Co , the report and balance-sheet were adopted, Messrs T. Peacock, and John Bitger were re-elected directors. The shareholders attacked the large salaiy of £1500 paid to the general manager on tbe ground of economy, but tho chairman said the directors economised as much as possible consistent with efficient management.
