VICKERS AND STEVENS' WEEKLY REPORT.
Messrs. Vickers & Stevens report that at their cattle sale, held at Inglewood, on Wednesday, April 30th, the yards were filled with stock ; a large number of inferior calves were yarded, many of which bad to go back again as buyers will not give high prices for this class of stock. The following is a list of prices : Inferior calves 2s to 3s, good calves from 7s to 13s, 18-months steers 265, dry cows 17s to 255, fat cows £2 2s 6d to £2 ss, lambs 6s.
At their auction rooms on Saturday they sold as under : Fowls 6d each, onions Id to lid per lb, tea 14s 6d per box, sharps 7s a bag, potatoes 6s per bag, mutton, by the side, 2£d per lb.
During the week they disposed of a farm of 50 acres, near Inglewood, at a satisfactory price.
