Adelaide, May 20. Arrived : B.M.S. Bengal. Melbourne, May 20. In the Town Hall, this afternoon, His Excellency Sir Honry Looh presented the medals and diplomas gained by' the Victorian exhibitors at the Colonial and Indian Exhibition. Gr. E. Palmer, well-known cricketer, while shooting iv the neighbourhood of JBenalia, slipped and fractured his kneecap, and very little hope is entertained of his ever being able to play cricket again. In the Supreme Court, to-day, Mr. Justice Rertord refused an application made on behalf of the taxpayers of .Richmond for an injunction to restrain the Kichmond Town Council from spending funds for the purpose of celebrating the Queen's Jubilee. Sydney, May 20. The Legislative Assembly, which sat all last night discussing the proposed new cloture rules, continued -its sitting to-day. The House had not risen at 4.30 this afternoon. Much recrimination took place among the mombers, and the Speaker had difficulty in preserving order. The Legislative Assembly, after twenty-four hours' sitting, has been adjourned until Tuesday, 30th inst. The cloture rules passed •• in globo." Brisbane, May 20. An accident occurred to-day to the ballast train on the unfinished portion of the Fassifern Railway. One person was killed, and seven injured.
