Such hypochondriacal spirits as Rolleston, Montgomery, and Bryce, who can see no good in anything of a progressive nature, and who would sooner see money spent in trying to make the worlS go their way of thinking — which is backwards — of course had a word to say why New Plymouth should not progress like the rest of the colony ; but they saw it was no good to prolong the discussion, for the House listened to them impatiently, wanting to get on to other business.
