MARLBOROUGH.
Blenheim, April 13. William McDonald committed suicide on Sunday, in the Blenheim lock-up, by strangling himself with a leather strap, which he fastened round his throat and tied to the toe of his left foot. He was in custody charged with attempting to destroy himself. At the inquest a verdict was returned that he committed suicide whilst labouring under mental aberration.
