football. WINCHESTER SCHOOL V. GERAL- ! , DINE SCHOOL. A match between the above teams was contested on the Geraldine Domain on Saturday last, and resulted in a draw. The game was a very fast one throughout, and the kicking of the Winchester backs—Opie, Shallard, and Gimaons—was excellent. In the irst flpdir Morrison, on the line out, secured the ball and scored, but no goal resulted. Willoughby was the next to score, by a brilliant run from mfdfleldv but again no goal resulted. Opie, for Winchester, potted a neat goal/ thus leaving Winchester one point to the good at the end of the first spell In the second spell Taylor scored at the corner flag, and the score remained even till time was called. For . "Winchester Opb, Shallard, Gimson (2), Austin, and Curtis were to the front, while for Geraldine Willoughby, Mundell,Dean, Morrison, and Joe (2) played well.
