Land Sales,— Two large land sales took place in Christchurch last Saturday. One was the Hurslay Estate, 500 acres, near Amberley, which brought £l3 10s per acre ; total, £7425. The other was 700 acres, situated at Kirwee, which brought £8 5s per acre $ total, £5782 11s. These prices were considered remarkably good, and show increasing confidence in the future of the province.
