Rec. 7.30 p.m. Adelaide, Dec. 22. South Australia beat New South Wales by an innings and five runs. The visitors in reply to 575 scored 351 in the first innings, Little 76, Fallowfield 54, R. Robinson 100, White 29. Ward took six wickets for 127 and Wall one for 48. New South Wales followed on and in the second innings made 219, Fallowfield 38, Marks . 31, Lonergan 39, Robinson 39, Easton. 42. Wall took three wickets for 15 runs and Ryan four for 27.
