LORD NUFFIELD’S BENEFACTIONS. HELP FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN. By Telegraph—Press Assn.-Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. London, Dec. 21. Lord Nuffield has given £125,000 to establish an organisation to deal with the early discovery of a curative treatment for children who are threatened with being crippled. Lord Nuffield’s benefactions now total almost £1,000,000. It is understood that a large part of Lord Nuffield’s latest gift will be devoted to establishing a scholarship in orthopaedic surgery.
