Investments met a generally firm market on the Sydney Stock Exchange today. There was strong support for Tooth’s Brewery owing to rumours of a possible new issue. Pastoral shares tended higher. Base metal interests reacted to the decline in prices of lead and spelter, while tin shares lost a part of the recent advances.
