EGMONT VILLAGE NEWS

HALL COMMITTEE DANCE. The dance held in the Egmont Village hall under the management of the hall committee provided a pleasant evening. Boulton’s orchestra played the music and Messrs. Joe Drinkwater and Roy Gyde were masters of ceremonies. Monte Carlo dances were won by Miss O’Byrne and R. Gyde and Miss Reeve and J. Drinkwater.

As Mr. O’Byrne was unable to be present at the recent football club dance the opportunity was taken of making a small presentation to him on behalf of the football club in recognition of his many years of service to the club. Personal and General.

Mumps are prevalent throughout Egmont Village, causing many children to be absent, from school.

Mr. and Mrs. Hurlstone, New Plymouth, are the guests of their daughter, Mrs. A. Sinclair, Kaipi Road. Mrs. Keenan and Miss Teddy Hamilton are the guests of Mrs. Gordon Marsh, Egmont Road.
