TOKO FOOTBALL DANCE
CLUB’S FINAL EVENT OF SEASON.
The .Toko Football Club held a final dance on Thursday in the Coronation hall. There was a large number of visitors from Stratford and surrounding districts. Music was played by Hooker’s Merrymakers, and the masters of ceremonies were Messrs. R. Jones and J. Martin. Songs were sung by Mr. Stewart Gordon. Supper arrangements were in the hands of Mesdames O. Platt, A. Sangster, J. Jones, Misses B. Jones, M. Mackay and J. Murphy. !
The president of the football club, Mr. L. Knowles, expressed thank's for the support of the public. He asked Miss M. Tuck and Miss J. Macßae, Stratford winter show queen candidates, to decide a competition. The prize-winners were: First (painting of Mount Egmont), “Janie,” Toko; second (lampshade), “Knox,” Matau; third (table centre), L. Evershed, Toko.
