Miss Norah Good has returned to Tariki after visiting Mrs. G. F. Rich, New Plymouth.

Mrs. H. Julian spent the week-end with Mrs. L. Dobson, Kaimata. Miss P. Corney has returned to Egmont Village after visiting relations at Pio Pio.

Mrs. F. Rice spent the week-end with her* mother, Mrs. Knight, Stratford. Mrs. H. J. Eaves was hostess at bridge during the week-end. Mrs. Seymour and family left on Monday for Wellington, where they will live in future. «

Mrs. A. Franklyn returned on Monday from a holiday of several weeks spent with her sister-in-law, Mrs. J. Hart, Royal Oak, Auckland. Mrs. Knowles and Miss Knowles, Whangarei, have been the guests of Mrs. E. Rusling, Rugby Road. Miss Mary Good, Tariki, is visiting Hawera.

Miss Thelma Cottier has returned from a short holiday at New Plymouth. Mrs'. I. P. Grant's guest, Mrs. A. E. Grant, has returned to her home at New Plymouth. Mrs. Marshall entertained on Friday afternoon.

Mrs. A. Gov/ will return to Inglewood to-night after spending several weeks at Christchurch, Timaru and Dunedin.

Mesdames W. Ross, L. G. Ross and G. Atkinson entertained at a tea party on Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. Ross. The object of the gathering was to raise funds for the toy stall at the Presbyterian Church bazaar. There were about 30 persons present. Competitions were won by Mesdames McGowan, Farquhar, Braybrooke and Paynter. Mesdames Braybrooke and McGowan contributed recitations. 1 Mesdames Barnard, Cutfield, McGowan, Torrens, Wanklyn, Pearce, Twist, Wright and Wearne and Miss Pringle Wilson were the guests of Mrs. Leech at afternoon tea on Monday. Mrs. Leech wore a frock of green velvet and Miss Marguerite Leech, who assisted her mother, a silver grey ,crepe frock.
