NEW PLYMOUTH DRUIDS
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING OF LODGE. The fortnightly meeting of the New Plymouth Druids Lodge was held in the Jodge room, Gill Street, on Monday evening, Arch Druid Bro. D. Greiner presiding over a good attendance. Visiting brethren from Waitara and Inglewood were welcomed by the Arch Druid. Following the report of the visiting bards, sick pay was passed for payment. It was decided to purchase a set of indoor bowls for the entertainment of the older members of the ’edge, the younger members having already been provided for with badminton. It is hoped the game will help to bring the older members of the lodge together more frequently.
One new member was received- into the order, the initiation ceremony being performed by Arch Druid Bro. D. Greiner, who was assisted by the V.A.D. Bro. foster. Three nominations were received for membership.
Supper was served by the women’s committee, the remainder of the evening being devoted to music and badminton.
